A task-by-task read on where AI fits in your work.
Most conversations about AI and jobs happen at the wrong altitude — asking whether an entire role will survive. But a job isn't one thing. It's a collection of tasks, and AI touches each one differently.
The AI Impact Assessment breaks your work into its individual tasks and scores each one across five dimensions: how often you do it, how predictable it is, how complex it is, how much risk it carries, and how much human judgment it demands. Every task then lands in one of four categories — AI Only, AI Assisted, AI Collaboration, or Human Only — each with its own game plan.
You stay in control the whole way through: you edit the task list and you adjust every score. The result is a clear, personal picture of which parts of your work to automate, which to accelerate, and which to invest in deepening — plus a plan to get there. See how the scoring works →

What is the AI Impact Assessment?
The AI Impact Assessment is a free online tool that analyzes your job — task by task — and shows where AI can take work off your plate, where it can speed you up, where it works best alongside you, and where only a human should do the work. It then builds a personalized plan of tools to set up and skills to learn. It takes about five minutes and your data stays in your browser.
-
How does the assessment work?
You paste in your job description or a list of what you do. The tool extracts your individual tasks, lets you edit that list, then scores each task across five dimensions — frequency, predictability, complexity, risk, and human judgment. You can adjust any score. Based on those scores, every task is sorted into one of four categories, and you receive a personal AI readiness plan.
-
What are the four AI impact categories?
AI Only — tasks that can run themselves with the right automation. AI Assisted — tasks that get faster when AI helps and you stay in the driver's seat. AI Collaboration — tasks where you work side-by-side with AI agents. Human Only — tasks that depend on judgment, trust, and relationships that only you can provide.
-
Is the AI Impact Assessment free?
Yes. The assessment is completely free, requires no account, and is anonymous. Your job description and results are stored only in your own browser — they are never saved to a server or shared.
-
Who is the assessment for?
It's for any individual who wants to take control of their AI learning journey — whether you're worried AI might replace parts of your job, curious where it could save you time, or planning how to grow skills that stay valuable. You don't need any technical background to use it.
-
Will AI replace my job?
Most jobs are a mix of tasks, and AI affects each one differently. Rather than answering that question for an entire role, the assessment breaks your work into individual tasks so you can see exactly which parts AI can handle, which it can accelerate, and which remain distinctly human. That clarity is what lets you plan instead of worry.
-
Who created the AI Impact Assessment?
It was built by Maggie Leon Consulting, a technology adoption and enablement practice that helps organizations and individuals put AI to work in real, practical ways. The tool reflects the same task-level framework used in MLC's consulting work.
